We are building a fellowship hall and office suite.
Our prayer is that the capital campaign will exceed its goal, and funds will be available for renovating these facilities near the end of the new construction. These areas can then be used for much needed expansions with classrooms, library, youth and children.
The original estimate, including the parking lot, was $3.5 million; however, the parking lot is now completed and paid for so the revised estimate of the new construction is $3.3 million.
A Capital Stewardship Journey is a church project that seeks to raise the level of stewardship in the congregation in order to go "above and beyond" paying for a major construction project.
A commitment card is a statement of intent, nota contract. If your financial circumstances change significantly, your giving should also change. Simply contact the church to let them know.
No. On Commitment Sunday, May 9, we will offer two commitments: (1) one for our weekly offering toward the annual church operating budget for 2010, and (2) a commitment for a special three-year capital campaign Above & Beyond our regular giving for the specific purpose of building our new facilities.
Yes. Only the financial secretary has knowledge of pledges and giving records.
No. Participation in the campaign and how much you give will be entirely up to you. All members and guests will be given the opportunity to contribute if they wish.
Allow God to speak to your heart through prayer. Read Scripture passages that speak about stewardship and giving, such as 1 Corinthians 16:2, Proverbs 11:25, Proverbs 3:5-9, 2 Corinthians 8:7, Acts 20:35, Luke 6:38, and Psalm 116:12.
This capital campaign will officially begin April 11 and run through May 9, 2010. You are welcome to decide when your personal giving schedule will allow you to begin.
You are asked to make a three-year commitment.
Absolutely! All pledges matter, regardless of amount, because as we all participate according to our ability, God multiplies our giving.
Pledge cards will be turned in on Commitment Sunday, May 9, and pledges will begin to be received shortly thereafter.
Contributions can be made by cash or check. Other forms of contributions can include the transference of title to marketable stocks, bonds, real estate, etc.
Please feel free to contact Jack Isaacs or Betsy McPherson, co-leaders of the campaign.
